Please keep in mind that payment is due when service is rendered, unless arrangements have been made within our office prior to treatment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and personal checks. We can arrange a monthly payment plan for more extensive procedures, but this must be done prior to scheduling and treatment. We will send a monthly statement to patients if fees are not paid on the same day as treatment.
Please remember that the patient is fully responsible for payment of all rendered services regardless of insurance coverage. As a service to our patients, we are happy to submit insurance claims and help when possible. While we advocate for our patients, we cannot guarantee payment from the insurance companies nor is our office responsible for insurance payment. If the insurance check is paid to the patient, then the patient is responsible for payment the day on which service is rendered.
Most insurance companies usually respond within 4 to 6 weeks after submission of a dental claim and our patient’s monthly statement will reflect their response to our office. We advise patients to be familiar with their specific plan, including the benefits and limitations for treatment costs. We are happy to help our patients understand their policy; however, there are many dental insurance companies and plans within each company. Most of the dental insurance plans cover only a portion of the dental fees and cover up to an annual maximum. If there are any discrepancies with the statement and the insurance company’s response, please call our office as soon as possible. Any remaining balance is the patient’s responsibility, and prompt payment is appreciated.
